Ian St John coming to Costa Blanca

Ian “Saint” St John will be appearing for one night only on Tuesday 6th April at Quesada Country Club near Torrevieja.

The former Liverpool and Scotland international began his career with Liverpool in 1961 where he went on to score many vital goals, including the header that he hammered past Leeds United to win the 1965 FA cup for the first time in the club’s history.

The Saint was sold to Coventry City in 1971 after playing 424 games and scoring 118 goals for Liverpool. He also played at Tranmere Rovers for the 72/73  season after which he retired and moved into club management.

In 1979 he moved on to become a football pundit and formed the popular partnership “Saint and Greavsie” with fellow ex-footballer Jimmy Greaves and this continued until 1992.
Saint has since set up several football academies for younger players called the Ian St John Soccer Camps.

Often seen at Anfield he is still a huge favourite with the fans and was voted no.21 on the official Liverpool Football Club website poll “100 players who shook The Kop”.
