He said he made a mistake and should have shaken Evra's hand. He said he had let down the club and the manager.
 
It had obviously been agreed that he should shake hands before kick off and all it did was motivate the Man Utd players and crowd.
 
The Liverpool players seemed deflated by it and lacking fighting spirit.
