Man City 3 - Liverpool FC 0

Man City gained their first victory over Liverpool in 70 years.

A well deserved victory with two goals by Carlos Tevez one of which was greatly assisted by Micah Richards and one goal by Gareth Barry, showed that Mancini can create a team to be reckoned with.
Liverpool were unlucky when Steven Gerard unleashed a pile driver which cannoned off the post.
Joe Hart made 2 fantastic saves which prevented Liverpool from catching up.
A poor performance by Liverpool exposed their frailties in defence with Mascherano being sorely missed.
The one highlight of the game was the form of Fernando Torres who ghosted past Lescott as if he was not there.
Liverpool need an owner like Sheik Mansour to give them the similar buying power as Man City.
