Liverpool 1 v 1 Blackburn

Liverpool 1 v 1 Blackburn
Liverpool squandered a host of chances and let Blackburn off the hook with a draw.

Liverpool  were expected to get a host of goals against bottom of the league Blackburn.

Kenny Dalglish partnered Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll up front but the pairing did not work.

Andy Carroll had a disappointing game and lacks the fighting spirit  and finishing power of other legendary centre forwards like Aldridge and Rush.

Having rarely threatened in the first half, Blackburn went ahead from an own goal from Charlie Adam

In the second half Liverpool got off to a flying start when Maxi headed in a lovely goal from a Martin Skirtel cross.

The crowd were over the moon when their inspirational leader Steven Gerrard came off the bench.

A reinvigorated Liverpool proceeded to lay siege to the Blackburn goal.

With 4 minutes remaining Blackburn's goalkeeper saved a shot off the line and a minute later their seventeen year old defender  saved another.

Liverpool must rediscover their ability to put the ball in the net.
